Student well-being
Student well-being is a topical subject. Especially in the times of Corona, this subject rightly demands all our attention. Well-being is not only about physical well-being. Mental well-being and social well-being also play an important role. All forms of well-being influence each other and ultimately determine not only how you feel, but also to what extent you are able to perform.
Physical well-being can be defined as good physical health. You feel physically well when you are healthy and fit and when all the body's basic needs are met. This includes eating and sleeping.
Mental well-being is about the health of your mind. This form is at least as important as the other forms. If you feel good about yourself, you perform better, are more positive about life, suffer less from stress and are better able to deal with problems.
Social well-being is about the extent to which you feel good and you are included in the society. It is influenced by more objective economic factors, such as work, income, a house and access to education and healthcare. This also means that this form of well-being is sometimes more difficult to address than physical and mental well-being.
To improve your well-being, you can of course use the Tilburg Student App. In the coming period, we will publish articles about each form of well-being under News. We will also provide tips for activities. To start with, you can walk the student routes to keep moving and relax. In this way, you are already working on your physical and mental well-being.
The educational institutions in Tilburg are also aware of the importance of student well-being and do their best to support you. Would you like to talk to someone? Then ask your educational institution about the student psychologist. Are you afraid of delaying your studies? Then contact the student counsellor.
